Dr. Tenaye Hailu

Tenaye Hailu has a Ph.D. in Advanced Human Behavior and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT).  She is a licensed psychotherapist in Oklahoma and a Registered Play Therapist. In addition, she is a certified Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker. Dr. Hailu is a co-founder of Yechalal (ይቻላል) Support Group for parents with special needs children.

 

Dr. Tenaye is a proud Ethiopian-American, having immigrated when she was 19 she has lived and learned multicultural experiences. 

 

She is remarried and has 3 living vibrant adult children, an adult child who is deceased, and a granddaughter. She has lived in Tulsa, OK since 1997.  She serves on a mental health awareness committee, and enjoys teaching and speaking at workshops and conferences about parenting, relationships, and mental health. 

 

Dr. Tenaye has the skills and experience to create a supportive environment where a person feels accepted and comfortable to share openly, assess underlying issues, and explore alternatives to deal with problems raised. She is welcoming to persons of all ages, abilities, classes, genders, gender expressions, races, religions, and sexual orientations and recognizes that identity impacts one's experience and therapeutic needs.

One-on-one counseling. Individuals may seek therapy when experiencing a wide range of concerns. Issues including but not limited to; anxiety, depression, parenting, identity, anger, ADHD/ADD, goal setting and trauma healing.

Couple/Family Session

50 min- $120        

Private couple/family counseling.  Couples/families may seek therapy to address concerns including but not limited to; communication, parenting, anger, depression, and trauma. Family mediation, reconciliation therapy, and divorce counseling is also provided.

Coaching/

Mentoring Session

50 min- $100 Cash/Credit Card

One-on-one coaching/mentoring for individuals who desire personal, high-performance coaching to gain clarity and accountability.
